Getting back to normal

I have been in each room touching things and looking in all the rooms and cupboards just to believe that I'm home again and it's real and not a dream. It feels so different when you've been away.

Father came on Saturday and he was a little tactile. Perhaps in his old age he mellows slightly. It wasn't often I got a hug from him, they were rare and special moments for me that I can count on two hands. But I got one this time, I must have done something right and it's worthy of a journal entry because I don't know when my next one will come from dear father. Hiro has been cooking all my favorite foods and my section editor rang me and said although my adventure is something worth writing about, I should freelance it since JJ is in the fashion business and not the human interest stories. That's her style humor!
I expect to return to work in August sometime perhaps after my birthday. I have an appointment at the hospital on Thursday to have a progress report.

I have been spending time at home and I really haven't felt much like even going out, although Hiro did drive Hitomi and I up to the park for a few hours on Monday afternoon but quite honestly I still don't feel very strong and a journey up to the roof garden seems comparable to a 'journey to the center of the Earth.'

I've been given a special diet that appears to be protein rich and I take glucose in between meals to build my energy levels higher and then I fall asleep whilst we are watching movies on TV. There I am wondering what will happen next and I close my eyes just for a brief moment and then I awake because Hitomi is waking me to say it's time for bed.
Oh my Goodness! Where did the movie, my dinner and the time go?

  1. You just take your time getting back into the swing, little one. While we're all pulling for you to return as soon as possible, we all want you to do so at your own pace.
I'd much rather wait a few more days and not have you be forced to go back to the hospital and have to wait even longer.

Love you.......you too Hitomi. Take care of her as I know you will.
