An Octopus's Garden Pt 1

Sat huddled over her calculator with the fingers of her right hand tapping the numbers and the pen in her left hand scrawling over her papers and trying fairly successfully to describe that geometrical improbability of making ends meet, she suddenly had a little idea.
'Little Model books' Hitomi thought to herself and sat and contemplated the concept. Her calculator now idle as she leaned forward on her desk, rested one hand in her lap and chewed the end of her pen thoughtfully in the almost classic 'deep thought' pose.
Everyone has large portfolios with some of their best work but imagine having a small glossy book with a series of mini images. She sat and visualized the format and as the image took form in her mind, she after a little while of mental Tetris, she sat back and wore the 'eureka' expression of proud satisfaction. She would have looked a perfect image of it were it not that her pen had leaked whilst she had chewed it and it given her blue lips and a blue tongue.

This was not an extension of the catalog of the girls that can come work in the studio idea, nor is it intended to replace or even accompany a professional portfolio. The idea is a simple fun idea that can actually be sold out as model mini books. Hitomi took a couple of sets along to a small print business not far from the studio to have a thirty page sample book made.

Having got a location last week, Hitomi had a few shoots including one for our friend Chizuru. Some of their excellent work can be seem below.
Hitomi, the children and I have had a mini vacation of a sort in Kobe and Osaka because even in our 'Golden week', our holiday week, we have had quite a few things to do. She still has many connections in this area and has been investigation a couple of schemes to see if such ventures are profitable as well as attending a couple of meetings regarding advertising. I also had a few people to see and so we made it into a family outing and rented a small apartment above a little bookstore in Kusunokicho Chuoku in Kobe.
