Miss Plum was out and about with her camera and so the angels and I went out to find some little gifts for her. The evening air was very cold with a gentle wind but the chill felt like ice on our exposed cheeks.
Once inside the warm mall and mixing with the busy shoppers looking through perfectly displayed windows and listening to the Christmas tunes, we became a little warmer. Of course this turned out to be a shopping trip with new items for the angels and for me too.
Our strategy was simple. Once our arms were full we'd go down to the car park and put them in the car and return to the Omotesando Hills mall for more.
Every store was cutting prices and so it made sense to get some bargains.
Then the smell of oden (stew) gently wafting upon the air made us all feel quite hungry and knowing that this is a good body heating from the inside in these cold winter days, we decided to fortify ourselves.
Once we had taken the last of our carry-out bags to the car we sat and had a nice bowl of stew to warm us up and to prepare us for the short trip home.
One the way home a gentle snow started to fall which has us a little excited and hopeful for a White Christmas but sadly it didn't last long.
Once home we wrapped Hitomi's gifts and placed them under our tree which quite frankly speaking looks a little sad this year - I must buy a new one for next year - please remind me someone!
Hitomi and I never managed to be together on Christmas Eve which was a shame but we had the evening together at home.
On Christmas morning I again went to my hospital where I was as a child after my horse riding accident and played Miss Santa while Hitomi had some portrait business to attend. Dad phoned and said he was coming to Tokyo for the New Year so that's something we look forward to very much. Christmas dinner after the children came home from school was everyone's favorite chicken and a home-made delicious sponge cake.
Merry Christmas!

Glad you had a great Christmas, Momo! Best Wishes for the New Year to you, Hitomi and your beautiful daughters,
