Hey, how are you doing?
You've caught me lying on my bed with the lap-top.
Hitomi is doing her HTML practice on the desk top so I'm here out of her way. She's feeling much better now and so are my toes, thank you.

Sunday morning was one of those real lazy mornings. It was one of those mornings where even the birds singing outside on the balcony were in slo-mo and the usual chirping sounds become like slow beats upon a deep drum (長胴太鼓).
I waste the morning minutes on-line with seemingly nothing worthwhile to do while she showered and I have the tempting promise of a delicious hot breakfast after.

After breakfast she took the good news to her parents house and we all know I have stopped going there. It's getting to the point where Hitomi has apparently even told her Mother that if I am continually made unwelcome there, then her visits will be reduced to necessary visits only. Perhaps this is Hitomi standing for me, standing for us, but I actually wish she hadn't said that because her Mother is a wonderful lady and I think I feel sorry for her because she seemed to be dominated by her husband like the plot lines of everything from rebel Islamic women authors to desperate housewives on the silver screen. It is something she could perhaps say to her Father. Better yet, perhaps it need not be said and she can just live here with me. Which leads me to an interesting question...

A Question & Answer that I decided to remove 24 hours after posting.
If you read it, consider yourself an 'early bird' that caught a worm.
If not, then I may post it again a little diplomatically and perhaps less controversially. I usually only show disdain for censorship but here, I didn't like it and as the writer bangs her keys, each sheet is destined either for the manuscript or the waste bin.

I spent Sunday downstairs in the restaurant and to be honest with you all, when the engineer arrived to replace a pipe in the cold store, I thought he was very handsome and enjoyed talking to him while he worked. A hot guy in a cold room telling me all about condensers and things right until the moment my brother gave me those eyes of 'are you helping or not?'
What else would I be doing?
Momo wandered off to look busy elsewhere.
I met Hitomi at the Almond café in Roppongi at eight. Everyone meets here and it's nice to see people waiting with small gifts or large bouquets or looking at watches. I heard a nice story once of two people being stood-up and they went out with each other to avoid a lonely night and really hit it off. I only had to wait for twenty minutes before she arrived, enough time for a Latte. We both went over to pick up Aya because she hadn't arrived and she lives close by. There were piles and piles of black bags stacked out side her apartment. When she opened the door there were piles of green bags inside her hallway. She apologized for her lateness and as she finished getting ready she explained that she had a clear out. The black bags outside contained rubbish as she described it and the green ones in the hallway contained usable and good things that she didn't need in her life anymore and she was going to donate them to charities. I nodded my head in admiration, acknowledgment and silent applause to her and thought that perhaps I store too many things too. Maybe I can have a clear out?
Less clutter! My life is cluttered and I need to sort out more than just my apartment.
The Lex was pretty full and a lot of our friends were there and in the madness of everyone wanting to join in with Hitomi's good news of success, she drank too much and too many different flavors disappeared from her glass. It was difficult to get her upstairs at home and put her to bed.
She really suffered.
Of course Momo with the alcoholic past never even had a headache! But then I just drank beer and nothing else. She's just not used to it and with so many joining in I think she was carried away and astray by the occasion.

On Monday I didn't have much to do at work and most of my assignments I could complete at home and I did want to come home and make sure Hitomi was OK. Masato, one of the photograhers from JJ studio, who took some shots of me on Saturday, came up after lunch and showed me the photographs and I really loved them. I was very impressed and know how easy he made it look and how hard it seemed on the day. These were really wonderful, nothing like the snaps I take. I brought the proofs home and showed Hitomi, these four are our favorites.

I'm quite happy with the results and think he did a wonderful job.
Now which to send to dad?
Stuck on choices!

  1. Nice photos Jazz. I think I like the ones on the top right and bottom left.

Were you wearing a heavy gold earring in your right ear ? :)

I need to declutter too, but I am reluctant to throw things away.
