The storm before the lull

Friday night, a night to party, a night to go out and to meet friends. A night to enjoy the warmth and laughter of good company as we rush out to fill our long tall glasses and our little social niches. But this is also the night that I just stay in and look out at 'it' from my window by my desk. It won't hurt them to miss me for one night. Everyone and by everyone I really mean just my immediate boss, liked the concept and my initialization that I created for the 'To Paris with love' fashion special and it will be developed further by my associates while I'm on vacation. I have completed all my other assignment and so I am now officially on vacation.


Saturday morning had Hiro come with me to the train station in Chiyoda, because he wants to meet with someone close by who is interested in renting some ground space of our building. He says there is a possibility that if they are interested in a large space area it may mean some building alteration and we will close the ground floor eatery and we'll just concentrate on the upper floor restaurant. I don't doubt his eye for business but I feel sad if we lose it because we've had it since Mommas days. I am too sentimental I think, slowly it has all changed. But I guess it will be a little less work for him.

Hitomi was unusually on time and I know I'm dreadful for saying that. She is usually on time with everything she does, except it seems meeting me at airports or train stations. She has a break from location and came home to make my first vacation weekend favorably nice. I feel quite drained really and if it was not for her arrival and instantly invigorating me I might have treated myself to a full treatment in the salon complete with massage today, but I'll take one during the week after she's gone back to Kobe if I still feel the need.

So let the week-end begin now. Have a drink, share time with lovers and friends and give everyone a smile. You appreciate smiles don't you? So why not give others one?
I have a warm smile that I'm giving to someone special and she has a beautiful one for me in return.

I'm going to apologize to several people who I either cannot contact or who are expecting replies but I am enjoying my last weekend here in the city with my sweetheart and then I am officially non existent while I concentrate on my project and enjoy the time away.
