Curioser and curioser

"Curioser and curioser!” Cried Tomomi (she was so much surprised, that for the moment she quite forgot how to write good English).
“Let’s consider your age to begin with, how old are you?” asked Tomomi, who played the part of the White Queen quite beautifully and not a single head chopped off anywhere!
“I’m seven and a half exactly,” said Alice.
“You needn’t say ‘exactly’,” the Queen remarked: “I can quite believe it without that. Now I’ll give you something to believe. I’m just ten thousand, seven hundred and fifty days old today.”
“I can’t believe that!” said Alice.

Actually yes I am but that is only true as long as you read this post on the day that I write it!
Yesterday I had a light seafood lunch with my dear friend Yoshi at the Kazan in Ginza. She gave me some mini posters to share with my friends and family and told me that I'm going to be working with her next Saturday evening promoting an alternative alcoholic drink at the Lion beer hall, just across the street from where we were eating. That rules out the idea of a few vodkas then for my Saturday evening, I'll just work my way through the samples. I feel almost famous!

The pros and cons of being famous!

Receive invites to the best parties.	Needing to look good all the time even in private for the secret cameras.
People noticing me in the streets.	Learn to leave limousines without flashing girly bits!
Being asked for my autograph and people wanting photos with me.	Saying no to alcohol and drugs - well perhaps just the drugs.
Getting the best tables in clubs and restaurants.	Seeing less of Hitomi and family.
Given lots of free things.	Having my words altered by scandalous press writers

I had a curios call from Azami who asked about Kuri coming over to my place the other night. She wouldn't say exactly how she knew about it. I expect Kuri told her even though Kuri told me she is no longer on speaking terms with her and she hadn't seen her for over two weeks. I suspect a little intrigue is happening behind the scenes there but I don't like the idea of my name being dragged through any stories and rumors of deceitful happenings. I made a point of phoning Hitomi and explaining not only my evening with Kuri but also of Azami's call. Hitomi suggested that Azami may have been 'hanging around' outside Kuri's place and she may have seen me bring Kuri home. I didn't add that I kissed her goodnight. Girls can kiss girls goodnight except it seems lesbians where at least one of the two are involved and committed somewhere else. This is exactly where all the gossip starts that can ruin empires and sour the grapes.

One of the most monotonous jobs I can have at work is that of editing other peoples work and having other people edit mine. I always smugly believe that I am so meticulous. Yes, I gleefully find errors in my colleagues work and correct them with all the authority of a school mistress correcting her unruly pupils. I dread it though when they do exactly the same to my work and peek at me over their eye glasses. OK, it's not as bad as all that, it's just a necessary part of the work that we at least attempt to correct ourselves before the proof reading skills of our editor gets her turning pink faced and having her shaking her finger at us for making such terrible errors.
Quietman, one of my regular and dear readers pointed out to me in a mail that I had spelling mistakes in my header links (see image above) and I was shocked to see that I cannot spell "happening" and "tongue" (especially tongue). I have said before that my old friend Quietman is a very observant man. Many thanks then to QM, please note that I have corrected my schoolgirl errors and you may have all the deserved credit for making my header that much more professional in its appearance and spelling.
