I would not like to guess the fate of those who over indulge constantly and I see it regularly outside the clubs on the other side of midnight, especially at holiday periods and perhaps more so with this one. The papers are full of victims of carefree attitudes soaked in alcohol with perhaps a cocktail of other substances as a chaser. I always imagine that I can handle it and I'm with my friends and I'm looked after and I'm so special but I think that maybe so were they?"Never again" comes to mind with the cactus stuck in my throat and the dull thuds of the enthusiastic drummer who takes residence in my head and with the throbbing I think back to so many whimpers that started after going out with so many bangs!
Sunday morning did not exist as I failed to find consciousness until around noon with the urging desperation for the bathroom and an ice cool drink of water. I left 'Miss snoring sleepy head' because sleep frees her of the feeling I feel and I'm sure if I recall correctly the previous night that she was just as 'happy' as me. I staggered onto my numb feet that were on the ends of aching legs and tended to my needs. I am not a coffee drinker as a matter of habit and I don't believe it has any qualities designed to free one of the night before syndrome but psychologically speaking, it is just what I needed and yearned for.
The girl on the other side of my mirror looked like a disaster and I certainly hoped that I didn't look like that when I was the party animal on Hitomi's leash last night.

It started off at the Lexington in Roppongi and we were there just before seven. Aya and her friends were there so we joined with them and we exchanged cards and kisses, gifts and wishes. I usually start off slowly with white wine spritzers but since it was the Christmas spirit I just joined in with what they were having and drank De Kuyper’s Sour Apple liqueur. At nine it started to get really full so we ordered the taxi and left Aya and Hitomi's sister behind and by ten we arrived at the Mars bar in Shinjuku. We squeezed onto Kuri and Azami's table and more cards and small gifts passed around and I was introduced to a drink called a 'screaming orgasm'. I can tell you all dear friends that I really like a good orgasm. This orgasm consisted of Mexican Kahlua, Baileys Irish crème, Russian Black Vodka, Italian Amaretto, something else (I'll get the other ingredients later) and ice. This orgasm is from all around the world. Drink this and you are in heaven for a moment and then when it hits you the buzz sends tingles up your spine and you fall into the perfumed embrace of addiction. I think it is very aptly named. So when it comes to cocktails start off with 'sex on the beach' and follow that with a 'screaming orgasm' and if that won't put a smile on your face and a warm fuzzy feeling inside then you're already dead!
I think I remember kissing everyone which was nice until I saw Hitomi kiss everyone which wasn't so nice ha-ha and I remember how surreal the evening seemed to get with Acid Black Cherry playing loudly and everyone was shouting as the background noise seemed to get louder. I was comfortably warm and extremely happy with a Cheshire cat grin and no matter what anyone said or did I was laughing at everyone and everything as if someone had sent in the clowns. I don't remember leaving the Mars which to me is a clear sign of too much girl! Honestly I'm the kind of girl that can drink seasoned drinkers under the table and believe me I've been under the table a few times and fallen through it once. I've done the salsa with Saint Vitus and sometimes I've even been dancing with Dandy in the underworld but I usually remember what I did the night before!
After I heard her moan, I made her some hot coffee and took it through. She looked at me through the corner of one eye and asked if this was the afterlife. "I'm yours for eternity" I said and kissed her good morning at almost two in the afternoon. While I prepared a bubble bath for two she told me how she'd struggled to get me home in the taxi and then left me outside while she went to wake my brother and beg him to carry me upstairs. I'm glad I was still there when they came to rescue me.
Black Cherry lyrics link
yesterdays dream
of laughter and insane music are
roars of waves crashing against my ragged shore
olive scented smoke dances before me
kerria petals fall softly from the sky
objective reason is lost
because I too am lost
in spinning wheels of color
I was chatting to another blogger and I mentioned the fact that so many people read me, but hardly anyone bothers with a comment these days - all rush, rush, rush!
So for your convenience I added a star rating system: 1 is poor and 5 is good: Please be kind to me and click a corresponding number star when you finish reading if you'd like to let me know whether you love me or hate me or just got fed up with internet news. Thank you.
We all over indulge at some time or another and the holidays give us that chance to unwind and let our hair down so to say. Honestly, not really a problem because most reserve themselves through out most of the year. It is when you start to look for an excuse or feel you need no reason at all it becomes a problem, but you know this so I won't delve too deep into it.
Some need it to release stress or to forget the strains they are feeling and as long as it not habit and you are "watched" over, then by all means, let your hair down. I did talk to you the next day and you seemed to survive and remember enough of it to relate the evening to me, so in a sense you did exercise control.
So Momo to you and Hitomi, Merry Christmas and I hope the season brings you close to those you love and to those that love you. May your heart always know its place in each others life. Stay as sweet as you are.
Later...
