Hardly straight! You know I'm striving for curves, what were you thinking? I now have four weeks to get in shape! My dear friend Yoshi phoned me and gave me the details for a photo session on Saturday, January the ninth. Hitomi and I have been working out together, not that she needs it but it's encouragement for me. Once again we use the
converted gym in the spare apartment. We start off with a little music and do dance aerobics to the DVD. Then we do the slow knee to breast and hold and down slow. The secret is the slowness and I feel it in my tummy working its magic. Then by standing in between two waist high boxes, we put our hands on them and bring up both knees at the same time, once to the left and once to the right. Then I lie on the floor and she holds my ankles and I do thirty stomach crunches and then I rest while I hold her ankles and she does the same and repeat twice more so we do ninety each. Then we ease ourselves out of that by doing knee ups and end on the painful one. Lie back, legs outstretched and raise them 20 cm off the floor and hold. None of this is any good if we have high fat content in what we eat so we are being very careful to make sure we have less fat and more protein.
I am determined to look good for January!

We have a small party tonight (Friday) and so this will be the temptation to see what we eat!
Hitomi took her Grandmother out today and probably had to explain her comment from last weekend! Although I'm not sure I fully believe it was said in such a way! Perhaps my sweetheart makes light of the pain she and we both feel at her dad's intolerance towards us. What annoys me most is that there are people, even family members who tell us who we can and cannot love. I have read of honor killings from the Islamic community on just such an issue and to be honest there was once a long time ago, a westerner that I loved but my own Father put a halt to that. Perhaps I was too young then but now that I am older I can make a much more informed opinion about it.
Teach us about values and about appreciation but let love find its own path!
Can you notice who is on the shopping bag?
In my last comment I wanted to encourage you at doing tummy excercises but I think you misunderstood me and thought that I wanted to show you that you don't do your best but it's not true. I remember when I was younger and me and my brother tried to pass swimming certificate. Before the exam we went to the swimming pool together to try to do everything required on the exam and see if we are really able to pass it. Piotrek was first and I was second. My condition was far from perfection even thought I was swimming regurarly. I thought I can't do it. But my brother was swimming next to me and repeated enthusiastically "come on, you can do more! just don't give up and swim!" and only thanks his encouragement I swam everything correctly and proved that I am able to pass the exam. And I passed. By saing "Momo, you can do more!" I just wanted to motivate you to put more efforts in your excercises because I know you want to do it and that you really can do it. I hope you understand it now. So, please do your best and don't give up :)
We can choose who we love and we are free to do it but unfortunatelly we are not free from people's opinions about us and our decisions. It's impossisble to put it in one ear and out the other, isn't it?
In September 2008 was first lesbian wedding in Poland. In Warsaw. Those girls (I don't know their names but it's not important) had been in long relationship and wanted to create a family together. The ceremony in the church was leaded by pastor (not priest) of Reformed Catholic Church. "Reformed" means that this faction is more opened to such things that traditional catholic church don't accept at all. Both girls had white dresses, they exchanged rings, they had wedding party and plenty of guests and everything seemed so womderful. Here is a picture:

The only problem is Polish law which doesn't let this kind of couples for example inheriting, pay taxes for each other and in the hospital one girl can let the doctors make an operation on other girl because law doesn't treat them as a formal family.
A few days ago there were another wedding but this time it were two men. Many people in tv said that these wedding are opening slowly a door to the acceptance. By the law and by people. In Europe there are a few countries were gay wedding is acceptable and legal and Poland should aspire to this as well.
Have something like gay wedding happened in Japan?

What a beautiful photograph in your link. "True love expressed in the freedom to love. It makes even my heart smile, thank you Ania.
I can only applaud Poland once again by moving forward into the modern age despite the anchor of the Church and other old world traditional inflexible moralists holding most nations back!
Unfortunately, despite Japan being on the forefront of technology, we very much have an old mind-set in the corridors of power.
It is not legal in Japan and it has only just been passed that a gay Japanese can marry their gay foreign partner in that foreign parter is from a country where it is recognized and marries in that nation.
I didn't want to explore the issues of outside influences to a love relationship since the idea in my post sprang forth from mention of Hitomi's father. It could have been misread that I was blaming him for not having the scope to see that whomever his daughter loves, she is very happy.
Thanks for the encouragement regarding my diet. We have bought some new digital bathroom scales and I have already lost 120 grams by it being more accurate than our old one!
